Dental is normally manned with four general dentists, one full-time registered dental hygienist, two part-time dental hygienists and ten dental assistants.

FAMILY PRACTICE CLINIC

CLOSED: All Sundays, New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, & Labor Day

Provides our enrolled TRICARE Prime beneficiaries with well adult and well child visits, non-emergency acute visits, and ongoing disease management from birth to age 65.

*Acute appointments are available throughout normal working hours and obtained by calling 1-877-NAVYMED.

*Active duty will be seen within 24 hours for acute conditions and triaged via a Registered Nurse at 1-877-NAVYMED.

Patients, including children, must be enrolled in DEERS prior to their appointment.
This can be accomplished by visiting the Personnel Support Detachment (PSD) on base (361) 961-3848.
Please call first to ensure that you have the proper documents with you to enroll your family members.
If you are moving, you will need to visit your new PSD and present your change of address to have it reflected in the hospital DEERS registration.
This action cannot be completed at your new facility. Only PSD can update DEERS.

Pediatric Acute Appointments are available Saturdays in Family Practice by calling the Call Center at 1-877-628-9633 (NAVYMED).

The Pediatric Clinic provides well-child care, and evaluation and treatment for children with illness or other problems from birth through age 16
(at age 17 family members will be seen in Military Family Medicine Clinic).
Routine pediatric care, acute care, and well-baby care are available on an appointment basis.
No walk-in clinic is available. Limited same-day/acute appointments are available starting at 0800.
Appointments for the Pediatric Clinic may be made through the central appointment line at 1-877-628-9633.

Patients, including children must be enrolled in DEERS prior to their appointment.
Patients are requested to arrive 15 minutes prior to appointment time in order to complete required clinical forms.

IMPORTANT NOTE TO PATIENTS: The Naval Health Clinic cannot treat a minor (child under the age of 18)
without parental consent except in limited circumstances.
If you leave your child in the care of another, be sure you authorize this individual, in writing, to consent in your absence.
The required form authorizing consent is available at the Outpatient Record desk and, once properly completed, is valid for a six-month period.
